The ability to use modern research tools to predict, analyse, and respond to rapidly evolving economic, financial, social, and political trends is increasingly vital to the success and long-term viability of modern businesses. The MSc Economics and Finance programme equips students with a deep understanding of financial decision-making and the skills necessary to conduct rigorous research in applied economics and finance. Through the programme, students also gain proficiency in using advanced research tools and techniques. Offered by the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), the programme blends economic theory, applied econometrics, and financial research to provide a strong foundation for enhancing professional research skills.
At IBSS, we place strong emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning, teaching, and research, and we incorporate AI tools into the study of every module in the MSc Economics and Finance programme.

The university offers a broad range of activities aiming to enrich master students’ theoretical and experiential learning and professional development. Trainings, workshops and seminars, covering varieties of themes and topics, both generic and subject-specific, are often offered at both university and school/department levels. Additionally, IBSS programmes offer discipline- specific supplementary modules which will aid to broaden your knowledge in that specific field and enhance your skills.
