Dr. Ankit Garg Honored with Springer Nature Editor Distinction Awards in International Journals

In recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic service, Dr Ankit Garg, Associate Professor at the Department of Health and Environmental Sciences (HES), School of Science (SCI), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) has been awarded the Editor Distinction Awards in the Author Service Category by Springer Nature for his contributions to three international journals, including Acta Geophysica (Official Journal of The Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences), Materials Circular Economy and Indian Geotechnical Journal.

These awards recognize the exceptional efforts of editors in enhancing the author experience and ensuring that the peer-review process remains efficient, constructive, and fair.

Dr Garg actively contributes to the scholarly community by serving as an Associate Editor for international journals such as?Soil Use and Management?and the?Journal of Smart Construction and Sustainable Cities. He has also previously served as a Guest Editor for other leading journals, including the?Journal of Damage Mechanics,?Journal of Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery,?Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste?(American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)),?Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and?Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering Infrastructure.

Dr Garg stated that "Receiving these awards is a tremendous honor. Dr Ankit Garg has recently joined the HES Department, School of Science at XJTLU. He is a globally renowned scholar in the field of Soil Remediation and Treatment through the use of Biochar and AI.
