CIE & HeXie Academy Nanjing Roadshow Spurs Talent Growth

From 3rd to 4th June 2025, the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs (CIE) and the HeXie Management Research Centre (HeXie Academy) from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) visited four universities in Nanjing—Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing Audit University, and China Pharmaceutical University—to successfully host a two-day Master’s programme recruitment roadshow. The event, which combined thematic presentations with on-site interactions, showcased the unique appeal of XJTLU’s Syntegrative Education, attracting nearly 300 enthusiastic students from Nanjing.

During the roadshow, three Deputy Directors of the Master’s programmes from the CIE and the HeXie Academy provided in-depth analyses of their respective specialisations:

As the Deputy Director of the Master of the Enterprise Governance, Innovation and Succession Pathway, Assistant Professor Huiyang Li from CIE and HeXie Academy provided a detailed interpretation of the programme. This Master’s programme focuse on enterprise governance innovation in the digital transformation era, addresses the challenges of business succession, asset management and wealth succession, and family business governance, while promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in a global landscape characterized by UACCS (Uncertainty, Ambiguity, Complexity, Changeability, and Scarcity).

Assistant Professor Bo Fang, Deputy Director of the Master’s Programme in the Strategic Human Resources Management Pathway, highlighted the programme’s integration of cultivating HR digital transformation talents with global perspectives. This pathway focuses on the new challenges and opportunities in the field of human resources in the era of digitalisation and AI, ?It cultivates students’ ability to enable strategic change and innovation in organisations through Syntegrative Education.

Assistant Professor Furong Jia, Deputy Director of the Master’s Programme in the Smart Ageing and Health Management Pathway, provided a thorough analysis of the curriculum and career prospects. She emphasised the programme’s interdisciplinary training system, which integrates healthcare and business management, focuses on the use of digital and intelligent technology to empower the collaborative and innovative management in wellbeing of the elderly and industry. We are committed to building a talent pool of silver economy and healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Additionally, Ms. Dan Wang, Research Engagement Manager, systematically introduced XJTLU’s educational philosophy, the unique advantages of the CIE and the university’s international educational resources. She provided a detailed explanation of the application process, admission criteria, and key considerations for the Master’s programmes, offering clear and practical guidance for prospective applicants.

During the event, students showed a keen interest in XJTLU’s Syntegrative Education model and the various programme specialisations. They actively engaged with questions about course content, career development, and the application process. Many students expressed their intention to prepare their application materials after the event, eager to join XJTLU and embark on a new academic and professional journey. This roadshow not only provided students from Nanjing universities with a window to understand cutting-edge industrial trends but also expanded new possibilities for their academic and career planning. At the same time, the event demonstrated the CIE and HeXie Academy ’s firm commitment and forward-thinking practices in bridging education and industry and leading the way in future talent development.
